BrilliantIN are proud to be collaborating with a Global Brand, who are looking for an experienced Omni Shopper Strategy Manager to join their fast growing business of consumer goods in the cosmetic industry

Reporting directly to the Category and Shopper Director, the primary goal of this role is to build high-impact shopper strategies that will effectively influence retailers. To grow category visibility along the omni-shopper purchase journey whilst maximising penetration, consumption and retention.

You will collate and build high-impact shopper insights to influence retailers, and implement shopper marketing strategies and tactics to win across all channels.

You will be the leading voice on global shopper trends, channel dynamics and retail landscape developments that will feed into the company’s shopper marketing activation planning.

You will possess a superior strategic big picture thinking, someone who can interpret data whilst thinking outside of the box. Being able to turn vision into an articulated and executable strategy.

The client is a global player in their field and need someone with excellent skills and experience in employing syndicated, custom research and working cross-functionally and effectively influence a variety of stakeholders.

This role, with a Global footprint, will focus on the following areas:

  • Thorough understanding of Omni-Channel Path to purchase to strategise around best ways to maximise category and brand presence in the maximum critical touchpoints possible
  • Shopper marketing activation excellence (Perfect Omni-Store): bring light to what needs to come true instore (offline and online) to maximise category and brand visibility.
  • Lead the creation of Perfect Omni-store supportive evidence, engaging markets to analyse their activations across channels in order to continuously finetune the Principles and KPIs of instore execution
  • Support Omni-Shopper Strategy Manager to embed shopper metrics into Category reviews and brand performance trackers
  • Identify knowledge gaps and recommend best sources for shopper data & analytics investments
  • Bring the shopper to the centre of the innovation process with relevant insights in NPD & EPDs regarding on shelf / online shopping experience
  • Support regional teams when developing local shopper marketing plans with relevant data, insight and best global practices
  • Contribute to the Shopper insights and implications that support the Category Strategy pillars

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A strong background in Market Research / Data & Analytics across multiple markets and categories within consumer goods.
  • Minimum 3 years of FMCG category & shopper insights experience, ideally in several markets or global roles.
  • A proven record of developing shopper marketing strategies and effectively influencing internally and externally on implementation.
  • A strong understanding of what entails to win in retail, with a customer and shopper centric approach.
  • Previous account management experience and having worked on NRM are a plus.
  • To be fluent in multi-functional teamwork, matrix orgs, in a remote environment.
  • To be connected externally with the latest competitive moves, innovation ideas and trends.
  • To have a strategic thinking mindset, able to turn vision into an articulated and executable strategy.
  • To be an effective influencer, both with internal stakeholders or externally with distributors or retailers.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to influence and respectfully challenge a diversity of audiences and senior stakeholders.
  • To be commercially astute.
  • The ability to collaborate, manage, influence, and motivate across organisational boundaries.
