Internal Sales / Trade Counter Person required by large independent timber and builders’ merchant based in Totton, Southampton, Hampshire. Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience. Excellent career opportunity for the right candidate.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Internal Sales / Trade Counter Person to join the sales office and shop front for our Totton branch.

Duties will include dealing with trade and retail customers, selling over the counter, ordering stock, goods in and general counter duties including maintaining a safe working environment taking. Frome time to time you make also be asked to work within the sales office taking enquires over the phone, via email and face-to-face from customers,  and looking after and developing the expanding the business.

Whilst some experience in the Timber and merchanting industry would be advantageous, we are just as interested to hear from ambitious, self-motivated candidates with strong people skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career within the industry.

This role would mean working Monday - Friday: 7am - 4:30pm and every other Saturday: 7am - 11:45am.
