We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Coordinator to join an award winning manufacturer in Romsey. This is a fantastic opportunity with great variety and a chance to work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and support the wider supply chain team to achieve set targets.

As Procurement Coordinator you will:

• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of assembly

• Interpret inventory requirements, production schedules, purchase requests and documents to coordinate purchasing activities within the organisation.

• Utilise the Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date.

• Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages or quality that affect production.

• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and identify and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels, and support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.

• Minimise obsolete/slow moving stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.

• Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules and terms.
