We are currently looking for a Buyer within a leading, world-wide manufacturer and distributor of materials, based in the Bordon area (you must be located within a 10/15 mile radius).

If you are a recent graduate (Economics/Business etc), or have equivalent working experience, then this role may be for you! You must have a basic understanding in the process of supply chain/purchasing and be very keen to kickstart your experience within this industry.

You will also be an excellent communicator, with the ability to liaise with internal and external staff and customers, whilst being very pro-active to solve any issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting and working with the Supply Chain Manager, you will facilitate the supply of production/distribution chain using MRP
• Aid the development procurement plans with suppliers
• Ensure the daily follow up of orders and take charge of supplier reminders
• Entering orders onto ERP system and issue Purchase Orders
• Adherence to purchasing process and only purchasing from suppliers on the Approved List
• Compliance with negotiated conditions
• Reviewing and updating Quality Management System
• Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager on any encountered issues
• Completing safety stocks, ensuring efficiency, and optimise stock levels
• Monitor activity on dashboards, including procurement performance and operational implementation

Essential Requirements:

• Graduate in a relevant subject or equivalent working experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• The ability to keep up to date on market shifts
• Building and maintaining relationships
• Proficiency in online systems, for example Microsoft Office
