Role: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager

Location: An External Role - South London, Kent and Sussex

Sector: Timber Supplies / Builders Merchants / Construction Supplies

Package: £40,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Car - The basic is very dependant on experience!

With a network of branches our client supplies a range of building products to the construction sector.

This highly successful company is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and ideally experienced Area Sales Manager to join their busy sales team. This is an interesting and varied role with a great scope for generating new business as well as keeping existing ones happy. This position requires someone who is really confident talking to people, understanding their needs and acting on this to provide sterling service to the customer. Attention to detail is also key. There are clear rewards within this company though - the right people can progress further and genuine talent will always be rewarded.

The company deals with many large House Builders and Developers. It's fair to say this will be the focus of the role but the job is varied and they deal with smaller firms like joinery companies too and they also target niches sectors, like garden buildings manufacturers as well. This a very well-respected and highly successful business.

A builders merchants background is required for this role so you can 'hit the ground running'. Sales experience is 100% required but this could be based on a previous internal or external role. This company is known for it's unrivalled range of timber products so, as a minimum, you must have timber knowledge which can be expanded upon, or you could already be a seasoned timber professional!
