You will be working alongside colleagues from our Design and Sales departments and collaborating with overseas suppliers. The role is focused on product development across all areas of Textile Home Furnishings, with a particular emphasis on Bedding, Cushions and Curtains

A great opportunity for an Product Technologist to join a market leading textile business in the Greater Manchester office. They design and produce textiles for the Bedroom, living room etc. They have a great reputation in the industry with a number of long service employees. They are SEDEX AB member and their own Responsible Cotton Sourcing Policy.

Description

• Setting and maintaining colour and handle standards and approved seals with suppliers.
• creating specs.
• assessing and sealing products, checking make-up, fit and quality.
• raising standards to comply with or exceed specific customers' requirements.
• problem solving & implementing improvements where necessary.
• liaising with UK customers and attending meetings with them as required.
• Set up and organisation of Technical Files, standard swatches and lab dips

Profile

• Currently working as an Assistant Technologist, Product Technologist or similar
• Ideally with around a minimum of 2 years' experience gained in the home textiles industry;
• A relevant Degree qualification in textiles,
• Strong communication skills
• Numerate with attention to detail & excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines to meet customer requirements.
• Professional approach, with confidence to represent the company
