About the Role: The Commodity & Trading Manager will be overall responsible for ensuring profitable growth and sustainability. This role is a unique blend of strategic trading, team leadership, and innovation, set within the heart of our mission to revolutionise recycling and waste management across the UK, particularly focusing on the South Yorkshire and North East.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage our commodity trading business across the UK.
  • Cultivate a robust network of customers, securing profitable commodity purchases and sales.
  • Ensure optimal performance and reporting, aligning with REMONDIS’ internal KPIs.
  • Lead, inspire, and grow your team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Who You Are:

  • A proven track record in commodity trading, waste management, recycling, or related fields, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for detailed reporting and data analysis.
  • Adept at managing workload and prioritising tasks efficiently.

Working Hours: The working hours are typically from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday​​.

Hybrid Setup: Hybrid working arrangement with 2 days in the office. You can either work from our Doncaster depot or HO in Bedlington, Newcastle.
