Senior Footwear Designer – The Role:

Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Footwear Designer to join their creative team. As a Senior Footwear Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the brand's footwear collections, bringing innovative designs to life while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Senior Footwear Designer – Key Responsibilities:

- Leading the design process from concept development to final product, ensuring designs align with the brand's aesthetic and target market

- Researching emerging trends, materials, and technologies to inform design decisions and inspire innovative footwear concepts

- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and production, to ensure designs are successfully translated into production-ready samples

- Creating detailed technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes to communicate design concepts to manufacturers

- Overseeing the product development process, conducting fittings, and providing feedback to ensure designs meet quality and fit standards

- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks, and meeting tight deadlines

- Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the design team, fostering their growth and development

Senior Footwear Designer – You:

- A degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, or a related field

- Proven experience as a footwear designer, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or lead role

- A strong portfolio showcasing your creativity, technical skills, and ability to translate trends into commercially viable footwear designs

- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD

- Excellent knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams

- A passion for footwear design, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional products
