Description

• Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms
• Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

Profile

A successful Materials Buyer should have:

• Proven experience within Purchasing
• Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external stakeholder
• An understanding of supply chain procedures
• Driven with the ability to multi-task and make sound judgements
