Job Title - Trade Sales Manager
Location – Ordsall, Retford DN22
Working Hours – 7.30am-5pm Monday to Friday, working alternate Saturdays 8.30am-12pm
Contract – Permanent position
Salary – Up to £40,000 dependant on experience.
Our client is an independent family run business, proud of its customer service and ability to supply the customer an exceptional product at a competitive price.
They have been trading for over 35 years to industry trade and DIY sectors supplying electrical and plumbing materials. In the past 10 years their bathroom showroom has become a high priority aspect to their business.
In this position, you will play a key role in the sale of our full range of plumbing and heating products, taking a proactive approach to help drive this part of the business forward.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Grow the customer base
- Providing quotations for customers
- Purchasing materials and managing stock levels for the category
- Dealing with customers both face to face and over the telephone
- Giving excellent customer service and sound product advice
- Taking a proactive approach to plumbing and heating sales, using every opportunity to make or increase a sale.
- Stock ordering and organising meetings with suppliers old and new to improve terms.
- Be confident working within a small team and alone.
Qualifications and Skills
- Sound plumbing and heating product knowledge essential.
- Previous sales experience in a plumbing and heating merchant environment or a builder’s merchant environment is essential.
- Confident dealing with customers
- The ability to build great customer relationships.
- A good telephone manner, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate.
