THE COMPANY

A company that manufactures and sells a wide range of home and leisure products both DTC and B2B with offices in the UK and overseas. Their products are sold in the UK, EU and other territories via their own websites, Amazon, and other marketplaces. In recent years they have expanded their reach and have dipped their toes into being stocked by well-known retailers. They’re keen to do more of this and have created a new role in their sales team for a National Account Manager / Business Development Manager to purely focus on getting their brand listed and access to own-label/OEM opportunities with major blue-chip retailers. This is a huge growth area for the company, so you will have the opportunity to lead the strategy and work cross-functionally with the category, marketing, and finance teams. A high growth, high profile role with a lot of exposure with the senior leadership team.

THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the development of strategic, long-term partnerships with major retailers.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for each retail partner.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the retail organisations, including buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams.
  • Ensuring tenders, pricing and ranges are delivered in full and on time.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and product development, to ensure alignment of strategies, and ensure all customer requirements are being serviced.
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives to drive consumer awareness and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, pricing policies, and promotional guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced National Account Manager / Business Development Manager with experience of selling into and developing business with major blue-chip retailers & supermarkets. You will already have the relationships with these businesses and have the drive to win listings for the brand and own-label opportunities. Ideally, you will have a hardgoods background in either home / DIY / electrical / cookware / sda / floorcare / heating & cooling.
