This a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Project Manager to support the delivery of the Falkirk Growth Deal strategy and Decarbonisation project.

The Falkirk Growth Deal is part of a grant-funded project on decarbonising the institutions offering in Engineering and Construction curriculums and the development of their significant new net zero commercial offerings.

Reporting to Head of Procurement, the Procurement Project Manager and will take ownership of activity related to the projects attached to the Falkirk growth deal. They will have excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure the delivery of the institution's growth deal strategy and operational procurement services. This role is an opportunity to provide a key contribution to the strategic development and decarbonisation activity.

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • You will have proven experience working in Public Sector Procurement
  • Have significant knowledge of Scottish/UK procurement legislation
  • Be experienced in tendering within a regulated environment Public Contracts (Scotland) and PRA(Scotland) Act.
  • Procurement experience in estates, construction or infrastructure would be highly advantageous
  • Have a considerable understanding of the key ethical/social & environmental impacts of procurement
  • Experience with project management processes and meeting demanding targets and deadlines
  • Understand the importance of delivering a First-Class procurement service to Stakeholders
  • Enjoy building working first-class relationships with Stakeholders/Customers
