About the Role:

The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement and Contract Management Lead to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will play a central role in managing the end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle for strategically important fusion development programmes and high-value indirect spend contracts.

What you will do:

Lead and manage a diverse range of high-value and complex procurement projects, ensuring maximum value for money is achieved.
Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for designated programme areas.
Foster strong relationships and collaborate effectively with government, industry, academia, and senior stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for additional value generation and collaboration within the supply chain.
Analyze procurement data to inform strategic decision-making.
Lead and manage the tender evaluation process, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Negotiate high-value and complex contracts to secure the best possible outcomes for UKAEA.
Oversee the management of contracts, ensuring collaborative relationships with suppliers and resolving disputes effectively.
Provide expert advice and guidance on complex procurement and commercial matters.
You will be a great fit if you have:

MCIPS qualification (or equivalent)
Extensive experience in public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of PCR 2015 regulations
Excellent negotiation skills, with proven experience negotiating at senior levels
Strong commercial acumen and a customer-focused approach
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
The ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing budgets and ensuring contract compliance
