In this role you will be responsible for a team of purchasers, ensuring they achieve agreed targets.
As a Senior Purchaser, you will be responsible for:
- Support with both direct and indirect purchasing.
- Responsible for the Procurement team and dealing with day-to-day issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Driving the growth and development of the team, ensuring to manage performance.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain manager.
- Ensure purchase requests are completed efficiently.
- Negotiate and review payment terms.
- Placing Purchase orders.
- Liaise with vendors and provide information obtained to the purchaser and other stakeholders.
The ideal Senior Purchaser will have
- Drive and determination.
- Procurement experience within manufacturing/engineering.
- Previous Purchasing experience.
- Ideally CIPS qualified.
- Will be able to multitask, be adaptable to change.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Will have good analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
- Will be fully competent in using Microsoft Office.
- Will have good communications skills.
