Pixel Global are a specialist consultancy providing expertise and guidance to our clients in managing their commercial activities and procurement processes. Our primary focus is on helping our clients to optimise their purchasing strategies, negotiate contracts, and streamline their supply chain operations to achieve cost savings, improve efficiency, and reduce risks. Many of our clients are in the public sector in Central Government and require procurements in the fields of Networks and hosting, applications, and operational and shared services. We assemble collaborative teams of Pixel experts, who can navigate and deliver this wide range of services for our clients.

You must demonstrate capability and potential but do not need to have ANY procurement or industry experience to apply. In fact, we would encourage applications from as a diverse range of experiences and industries as possible. What you must possess is an alignment to the values of Pixel, demonstratable capability, a strong hunger to actively research, show curiosity, and to train and develop in this specialist industry.

By enrolling on the Skills Network Bootcamp for Project Management and Digital Transformation, you will begin to learn about the skills and abilities needed in this exciting field of work. You will learn some of the digital technology that will assist you in a commercial environment. You will understand how to manage stakeholders and use applications such as Jira, which are all relevant in the procurement world. You will understand the principles of risk management and what takes place at every stage of the project life cycle. This pathway will underpin the next stage of the process, should you be offered employment with Pixel.

During this qualifying period, you will demonstrate your capabilities and potential to succeed in this career. As well as learning with the Skills Network, there will be a workshop and online discussions with Pixel. By Week 10 of the course, all applicants will be interviewed – the final shortlist will be invited to a face-to-face interview and a number will be offered a permanent place on the Pixel Academy Apprenticeship scheme in London or Manchester, to begin on Monday September 2nd.

During your first three months of employment, you will develop your business and IT knowledge and skills, prior to embarking upon your fully funded Level 3 CIPS Apprenticeship. You will learn about sourcing, contract management, how to manage risk, supplier management as well as associated technologies and applications. This builds further upon the learning from your initial pre-employment bootcamp with the Skills Network. CIPS is the professional body that represents and promotes procurement and supply professionals worldwide.

Additionally, you will work towards evidencing and achieving the SFIA level 1 and 2 criteria, as well as undertaking bespoke training designed and implemented by Pixel. Over the course of 2 years, your skills, competencies, and experience will rapidly develop. This will be not only be developed through training, but more importantly, through experiential learning. By teaming up with experienced colleagues who are adept and knowledgeable and by working at client sites, you will be immersed in the world of procurement and commercial activities from the outset.
