RESTAURANT MANAGER – RELAUNCH AFTER MAJOR REFURBISHMENT – NEAR LYMINGTON – STARTING SALARY CIRCA £30,000 – DAY SHIFTS ONLY

With the premises shortly completing a major refurbishment and preparing for a full relaunch within the next 2 months, the company are looking to recruit a new Restaurant Manager to lead the food offering at the venue.

Based at the heart of the complex, the restaurant is a table service operation, with a good quality, fresh food offering, with a mixture of main dishes, specials and snacks available for order.

The restaurant has approximately 120 covers, has always had a good reputation, and with the relaunch is expected to show steady growth alongside increased footfall in the business.

The business are looking for someone to take control and ownership of the restaurant operation, working closely with the Head Chef and dealing directly with customers and working with all avenues of the business.  The role requires:

• Marketing the restaurant and raising the profile of the venue via social media
• Recruiting and training team members
• Organising the staff rota and ensuring suitable cover for the business
• Completing ordering and stock management
• Ensuring all legal documentation is completed properly and accurately
• Working closely with the kitchen operation
• Dealing with queries and resolving any complaint issues
• Recruit and train new members of staff as the business grows

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a food operation, with knowledge of compliance and regulations of managing such an operation, you will:

• Be well organised and able to manage your time effectively
• Take ownership of the role
• Have strong communication skills
• Have experience at ordering
• Have previous waiting experience               

This is a very friendly and relaxed environment with a lot of flexibility.  The company offer:

• A initial starting salary of up to £30,000 with regular performance reviews
• 40-hour contract (reduced hours on a Sunday)
