The Role:

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain & Demand Planner to join a well-established operational and dynamic team. This pivotal role will oversee the demand and forecasting requirements of the manufacturing facility, managing material forecasting, product flow, inbound, on-site inventory, manage key suppliers, and handle product queries with finesse. This position is based on site, 5 days per week, in Rugby. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Develop accurate and timely demand forecasts by analysing market trends, historical data, and inventory levels, ensuring our manufacturing facility can meet client demands efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and optimise inventory levels on-site, ensuring a smooth supply chain flow with minimal disruption or excess.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, processing sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Negotiation: Actively negotiate / influence competitive rates without compromising on quality or delivery times.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of a small, in-house fleet including tachograph analysis. 
  • Query Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for product queries, demonstrating an exceptional level of service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement within the supply chain process, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Candidate Experience: 

  • Proven experience in a Supply Chain Planning or Demand Planning role for a minimum of 3+ years.
  • Knowledge of the Packaging and / or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable, but not essential.

  • IT & Systems Savvy: Good IT awareness with proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commuting Distance: Able to travel to site, 5 x days per week, in Rugby.
