We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and prestigious company who provide a range of fresh vegetables to retail, foodservice, wholesales, and food manufacturing. Due to their continued growth and development, they are seeking to employ a Commercial Executive for their Holbeach, Lincolnshire site.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Executive to join their team in Holbeach Hurn working on a Monday to Friday shift pattern, 08.30 to 17.00.

Job Summary

Your role will be to support the Veg team with the day-to-day management of our customers and suppliers.

This role is an opportunity to grow and develop skills in both commercial and procurement.

You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that we are delivering for customers day in day out.

It is important that you develop strong relationships with supply chain contacts at our customers to keep them up to date with our service and performance.

Helping us deliver great service to our customers you will.

Carry out analysis on our customers and suppliers, though data analytics, benchmarking, or market research

Help manage any packaging changes r EPD.

Attend meetings with customers and suppliers.

Review and critique customer forecasts

Providing timely information to the rest of the team about performance

Provide cover to our account managers and procurement coordinators.

All administration relating to these tasks, such as invoice authorising and sales order creation.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Health and safety for self and those around you

Check and monitor customer and supplier, delivery, and quality service level.

Any purchase orders or grower returns.

Support with customer visits

Carry out benchmarking of our products/competitive shops/taste panels.

Maintain a record of retail pricing for our lines.

Weekend or holiday cover for commercial account managers and procurement co-ordinators

Key working relationships:

Key suppliers of raw material and other products

Key customers contacts

The wider team supporting the products you procure (veg, prep)

Technical team to ensure the product is the right quality and meets all required standards and paperwork (load passports etc.)

Operational team to ensure they have the right amount of stock.

Requirements for the role

2 years food industry

1 year Procurement OR Commercial experience

Great interpersonal skills.

Able to effectively build relationships with suppliers.

Ability to present information in clear informative ways.

Self-starting attitude.

Willingness to question the status quo.

Team player

Flexibility

Experience in food manufacture -desirable

Experience in farming or vegetable supply -desirable

Experience in potatoes -desirable

Commercial exposure -desirable

Operational exposure -desirable
