Simon Acres Recruitment are proud to be working with the largest independent merchant group in the South of England, who are looking for a Kitchen & Bathroom Category Manager located in the South of England.

This opportunity is paying a £65,000 package (£55,000 basic, plus car or car allowance and bonus).

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm.

This is a remote based role with 20% travel requirements.

The Role:

• A professional Kitchen & Bathroom Category Manager with relevant experience in complex and diverse environments, working successfully both independently and highly collaboratively.
• Supporting the creation of incremental value through excellent negotiation skills with all suppliers within the portfolio.
• Responsible for the execution of the Category strategy.
• Ability to develop Category plans using Customer & Market insights.
• In conjunction with the wider Team, active in process of delivering the pricing strategy for the Category.
• Supporting the development of the customer experience to include promotional activity, space planning & in-branch look and feel.
• Identify trends in pricing and ability to build plans to optimise margin.
• Supporting the delivery of the company profitability targets.
• Monitoring Category results, identifying trends in the business and market environment and driving product Group performance.
• Providing monthly reports on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects through development of an effective Category Management dashboard.

Candidate Requirements:

• Extensive and proven track record of delivering in a high-performance organisation within kitchens and bathrooms.
• Strong and proven track record within Category Management.
• Good understanding of Category Management in a B2C environment.
• Resilient negotiator with influential skills who works well under pressure.
• Exceptional problem solving, financial and analytical skills.
• Excellent communicator who excels in relationship development.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
