A global support services business require a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead supply chain planning and analysis activities. Applicants need dynamic leadership skills, expert knowledge in ERP and planning systems, and ability to drive operational excellence.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be responsible for all supply chain planning and analysis activities. Leading a team of Supply Chain Analysts, the Supply Chain Planning Manager will collaborate closely with regards to an ERP implementation and efforts to automate and improve tools/systems.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager should be a technically skilled, and detail-orientated planning professional - a leader who can be the "go to" person for all systems and supply chain analysis activities. The role blends; leadership, analysis and "hands-on" planning it's imperative the Supply Chain Planning Manager enjoys the hands-on, planning/forecasting elements of the role.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Planning Manager include:

  • People management and leadership; management/development of a small team and deputizing for line manager
  • Leadership of the demand planning process, refining/improving and delivering detailed forecasts
  • Ownership of the S&OP process
  • Ownership of MRP/ERP data; parameter setting, configuration, product setup, forecast accuracy etc.
  • Support to production planning activities
  • Supply Chain Analysis work - drive automation, repeating analysis and utilisation of BI tools.
  • Lead process improvement projects for the supply chain - including ERP implementation

Supply Chain Planning Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in a supply chain leadership role; Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Planning Manager, Demand Planning Manager, Inventory Manager, Materials Manager, etc.
  • Deep, technical knowledge of demand planning processes, tools and software
  • Strong analytical skills - BI tools, automation, MS Excel, MRP/ERP etc.
  • Gravitas, leadership skills and the ability to bring a broad commercial/business view to the role
  • Experience in a B2B supply chain planning environment preferred
