Plumbing and Heating Trade Counter Assistant – Tottenham Branch

An exciting opportunity is available for a Plumbing and Heating Trade Counter Assistant to join a branch based in Tottenham, supplying a wide range of plumbing and building materials.

Salary: £30,800

Hours: 48.5 hours per week, with shifts between 6:30am–4:30pm Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturdays from 7:00am–4:00pm.

Role Overview:

The Trade Counter Assistant will be the first point of contact for customers, offering expert advice, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the trade counter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with plumbing product inquiries and provide knowledgeable advice.

• Process orders accurately, manage invoicing, and handle payments efficiently.

• Replenish stock on the shop floor and assist with regular stock checks.

• Support with deliveries arriving at and leaving the branch.

• Manage telephone inquiries clearly and professionally, ensuring effective communication with customers and colleagues.

• Respond promptly and positively to customer needs and queries.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of plumbing materials.

• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with customers.

• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

• Self-motivated and able to prioritise responsibilities under pressure.
