We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our established team to support the business with day-to-day requirements.

In this role you will act as a liaison between the business and suppliers, ensuring the effective sourcing of goods and services. The focus will be on maintaining high standards for quality, quantity, location, timing, and pricing, while also enhancing system automation to secure a competitive advantage.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving cost savings and adding value.
  • Processing purchase requisitions and purchase order management.
  • Issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers.
  • Engaging in extensive stakeholder management.
  • Providing analysis on new and existing costs.
  • Work closely with the procurement function to review opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Strong capability to negotiate with suppliers and analyse data.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication proficiency.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data for patterns and trends.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing team, especially in a Fleet or Operations environment.
  • Previous experience with SAP or other ERP systems
  • Proficiency in using advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data processing.

Additional Qualifications

  • Working towards or holding a Level 3 Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) certification is advantageous.
