We're on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our industrious accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in maintaining accurate financial records and managing outgoing payments in a timely manner.

Description

• Manage outgoing payments in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Compile and process invoices
• Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
• Collaborate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
• Report discrepancies found in records
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Accountant should have:

• A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• The ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
