Main Responsibilities as a Digital Engineering Director

• Lead Digital Engineering: Set the vision and direction for digital software engineering, driving high performance, best practices, and modern development methods.
• Develop Operating Models: Allocate resources effectively, build workforce strategies, and ensure teams have the skills to meet objectives.
• Manage Engineering Partners: Oversee external partners to maintain high service standards, fostering collaboration with in-house teams.
• Talent Development: Guide teams to improve delivery, code quality, scalability, and maintainability, tracking progress against goals.
• Collaborate Across Tech: Work with IT, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to ensure production-ready software meets SLAs.
• Drive Portfolios & Roadmaps: Partner with Digital Leadership to design and execute product roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Ensure Security: Collaborate with the CISO to secure software and mitigate risks.
• Manage Budgets: Oversee the annual budget, ensuring resources are allocated to support strategic initiatives effectively.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Strong leadership experience in cross-functional, enterprise-wide teams, integrating complex processes and strategies.
• Deep understanding of software development methodologies, cloud platforms, web technologies, and continuous integration and deployment practices, with a passion for staying current with emerging technologies.
• Strong proven ability to align and collaborate with senior leaders to define and deliver on strategic expectations.
