Are you a procurement professional with a passion for detail and efficiency?

We are seeking a Materials Buyer to join our long term client’s team and play a critical role in their supply chain operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure procured goods meet required standards.
• Process Purchase Orders efficiently to meet/exceed delivery schedules and targets.
• Lead tendering activities
• Create and maintain robust supply contracts with regular reviews.
• Ensure all procurement documentation aligns with company policies.
• Work closely with the Accounts Department to resolve invoice queries.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the supplier database.
• Promote and uphold corporate policies and values.
• Manage a diverse supply base across Europe, China, India and the USA
• Expedite order deliveries when necessary.

The person

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ideally you will have a business qualification but prior experience in a similar procurement role is acceptable.
• Familiarity with working within a business with robust change control processes.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently and deliver results within prescribed guidelines.
• A CIPS Diploma (highly advantageous).
