Role: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Halifax (On-site role)

Salary: c.£50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits

Grafton are recruiting for a high-volume manufacturing client in the Halifax area to appoint an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the supply chain function for this international organisation.

As part of the management team for this site, you will be responsible for a team planning production, materials and inventory management, purchasing, warehouse and logistics operations, with a number of Managers reporting into you.

This is a dynamic international organisation offering a challenging role with great development opportunity.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the team, ensuring performance against plan and training, mentoring, and motivating the planning, materials, and purchasing departments.
• Managing the production plans, and ensuring raw materials are available to enable plan is achieved.
• Managing day to day purchasing, supplier management, and costings for the site.
• Managing materials and inventory, expediting product, and tracking and improving supplier performance.
• Identifying and implementing process and system improvements in the supply chain, instilling a continuous improvement ethos.
• Implementing initiatives from the broader group strategy.
• Managing the implementation of new products and the NPI process and working with project teams around product changes and development.

Requirements:

• Experience of leading a professional supply chain function in a dynamic, high-volume production environment.
• Demonstrable experience of process and cost improvement.
• Analytical approach, with track record of managing cross functional projects.
