Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement team and ensure the timely, cost-effective supply of materials and services. You will work closely with internal departments and global suppliers, driving cost savings, improving processes, and supporting strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
- Develop and track departmental KPIs to measure and improve performance.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives across the business.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teams across Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality.
- Monitor demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- CIPS Level 6: Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (required).
- Experience:
- 10+ years in purchasing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in electronics manufacturing and modern procurement techniques.
- Skills:
- Proven negotiation skills and a track record of cost reductions.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to coach and develop teams.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and lean processes.
- Understanding of “green” supply chain practices.
