Cedar Recruitment are currently supporting a Public Sector organisation ,with the recruitment of a Generalist Senior Procurement Manager.

The role is Permanent and will require attendance to the London office 2 days per week.

You will be working within a team of 9 and the role is going to be reporting into the Head of Procurement.

Main Duties:

  • Lead on high value, complex tenders across Corporate Services, FM & Estates, ICT amongst other categories.
  • Help to manage and deliver the future procurement plan
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings
  • Manage commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Review and draft terms and conditions of contracts and advise others on form of contracts. Managing complex commercial and contractual disputes, breaches, and exit
  • Be accountable for developing and managing a current team of 3 and be in charge of recruiting additional staff.
  • Help to manage and deliver the future procurement plan
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings
  • Provide guidance and training to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing complex procurement's through routes such open tenders and competitive dialogue
  • Working on procurement projects within the public sector (PCR2015)
  • Experience of either managing or mentoring procurement teams
  • MCIPS Qualification (Desirable)
  • Understanding of the New Procurement Act 2023 and it's changes
