JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Store Manager
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the store and supports the Store Manager in the overall commercial success of the store. You are expected to set a high example for your team and be pivotal in creating a great team spirit in store.
Responsibilities are varied and include stock room management, shop floor management, keyholder duties, overseeing staff, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, training new starts, handling escalated customer and staff grievances professionally, and providing an excellent in-store experience for customers.
The Assistant Manager is second in line in management after the Store Manager and takes over the store manager's duties and responsibilities in the event of their absence.
This is very much a floor-based role; managing the stock room & shop floor to ensure the day-to-day business operations run smoothly, so enjoying a fast-paced role is vital.
