Senior Manufacturing Buyer

Salary/Rate:
£45,000/annum

Senior Buyer required for an established organisation, paying an annual salary of £45,000. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm.

If a candidate is available immediately, the role may start on a temp too perm basis.

Candidates applying must have previous experience in the manufacturing industry.

Duties:

Procurement planning:

  • Forecast levels of demands, price trends
  • Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers for best value delivery and quality
  • Purchasing materials
  • Inventory management

Procurement management:

  • Assist in managing procurement operations
  • Negotiate and agree contracts, monitor quality
  • Maintain suppler relationships
  • Attend overseas supplier meetings and trade conferences

Experience required:

  • Previous buying experience
  • Senior buying experience is desirable
  • CIPS qualified or working toward
  • Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
  • PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
