£40,000 - £45,000/annum

We are a leading medical device company who are experts in the design and manufacture of instrumentation for the life science industry.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team.

As an experienced Buyer you should be able to manage purchasing, material requirements planning, supplier relationship management as well as providing input to product life cycle and service procurement strategy.

Buyer Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships
  • Source and order materials based on engineering and production schedules
  • Develop specifications and evaluate vendor reliability
  • Ensure quality and cost-efficiency in procurement
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality for issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate MRP parameters and documentation

Buyer Requirements:

  • BS/BA in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years in scheduling, supply chain, product line management, purchasing or planning
  • CIPS preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of European and British Standards
