BAE Systems, a prominent entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Supply Chain Principal to join their Maritime Services business unit in Portsmouth. This is a contract role with hybrid working arrangements available for a duration of 12 months. The role requires handling various supply chain activities related to warship support, ensuring efficient and timely operations.

• Updating product information records, including export control status
• Generating Initial Provisioning Spares (IP) Request for Quotations (RFQs)
• Managing RFQs and purchase orders for ship training requirements
• Conducting RFQ check meetings with suppliers and project team clarifications
• Placing and managing IP spares and other purchase orders
• Expediting and reviewing supplier delivery paperwork, including delivery notes, transport information, and invoicing
• Ensuring timely delivery of goods
• Managing the delivery process with third-party warehouse services (Wincanton)
• Liaising with the logistics team on delivery and product returns processes
• Engaging face-to-face with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to meet project requirements
• Adapting work schedules according to supplier locations and project needs

• Experience in supply chain management
