Location:
Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire
Salary/Rate:
£45,000/annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and work with high-quality, highly competitive and capable suppliers to drive competitive edge for the business.
  • Focus on reducing costs and negotiating the best deals whilst improving quality and supply.
  • Daily ordering of materials and arranging timely delivery based on supply chain demands.
  • Ensure all procurement activity conforms to best practice and Company ethics, principles, and processes.
  • Work with the Production teams in the event of a critical supply shortage risk.
  • Escalate perceived risks and actual non-conformities in real time.
  • Analyse data to identify problems and trends to determine areas for performance improvement.
  • Provide analysis and insight to inform the annual planning and budgeting process including creation of performance benchmarks.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiencies, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in procurement or related industries highly desirable.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to MRP systems.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office software, especially Excel.
  • Strong in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical, organised, and numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to function well in a high-paced, demanding environment.
  • Educated to at least A-level; CIPS advantageous.
