The Role: Part time Buyer & Stock Controller

Summary of the Role

The successful applicant will be a part of a team involved in all aspects of the assembly process. The following list is indicative of but not exhaustive to this role. This person will be:

• Researching and selecting suppliers
• Negotiating terms/pricing with suppliers and buying stock
• Interacting with other departments in order to forward plan purchasing
• Receiving stock and checking for correctness, quality, quantity
• Checking and authorising invoices and other paperwork for forwarding to the Admin department
• Sorting stock into kits that will be stored ahead of production
• Assigning and releasing stock to production
• Problem solving where supply and/or delivery errors occur
• Creating, maintaining and reporting stock records to the Directors   

Essential skills and Requirements

This person must have very good organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, work in an efficient and timely manner to a high standard, to be able to plan forward, follow processes and guidelines without error, omission or deviation.

Full training will be given. Must have own transport

The Package

• Salary Part-time £15-£20 per hour depending on skills/experience
• Working office-based Monday to Friday (phone number removed)hrs flexible hours but minimum 24hrs/week. Extra hours available subject to workload
• Holiday entitlement full-time 20 days holiday + Public Holidays increasing by +1 day for each year of service to a max of +5 days. Part-time proportional to the number of hours worked in relation to the full-time allowance.
