Job Overview:
Cooper Lomaz Recruitment is seeking a motivated Buyer/Purchaser with expertise in Mechanical and Electrical components. This role is ideal for both experienced professionals and trainees looking to build a career in procurement within a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of mechanical and electrical components to support manufacturing operations.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with existing suppliers, while actively searching for new suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
- Utilise Microsoft Office and Sage to efficiently manage purchasing processes and documentation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Previous experience in purchasing mechanical and/or electrical components is preferred, but comprehensive training is available for trainees.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the engineering or manufacturing sectors is beneficial.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage, with strong organisational and negotiation abilities.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, and capable of working under pressure, with excellent communication skills.
