The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the IT department of a retail company, ensuring robust and efficient IT operations across the group. This role involves strategic planning, team management, and implementation of technology solutions. Hybrid working available but will be site based in Melksham so must live within a commutable distance and have right to work in UK.

A successful IT Manager should have

• Manage and oversee the IT department and its operations
• Develop and implement IT strategy and infrastructure
• Ensure IT systems and processes are efficient and secure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify IT needs and solutions
• Manage IT projects and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget
• Provide leadership to the IT team and encourage their professional development
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations
• Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards

Profile

A successful IT Manager should have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience in managing an IT department in the retail industry (team of 3)
• Strong knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure: voice and data infrastructure including servers, enterprise applications, user applications, end-point devices, print management, and communication devices.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft technologies including: Windows Server and Client, Advanced Threat Protection, Azure/Entra Active Directory, SQL Server, SharePoint Online, Office 365, Business Intelligence, OneDrive
• Sound understanding of networking and storage device technologies
• Working knowledge of Citrix or other remote desktop technologies
• Working knowledge of Virtual Server technology
• Experience of the following technologies:
  • Windows Server
  • Active Directory / Entra ID
  • M365 / O365
• Strong project management and strategic planning abilities
• Good understanding of IT regulations and standards

Job Offer
