Who are we looking for?

They are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer who already operates in either the Beauty Sector or perhaps the Gift Sector, but most certainly someone who has strong FMCG experience, or perhaps you have strong Merchandising experience and are ready to move to a buying role.

You will have at least 2 years experience in one of the above sectors and be enthusiastic and career focused.

A good degree and an aptitude for figures are a must too as there is lots of stock forecasting.

You will have the acumen and commercial thinking to be a quick learner and able to put your hand up and make your voice heard when you need direction but then able to take instruction and training and run with it. You will relish being part of a successful fast paced company where you will be challenged and developed.

The Buying Team is responsible for 4 main areas here:

Licensed distribution of brands

Grey market purchasing

Licensed Brands

Private Label

The role covers:

Production of regular buying plans

Summary analysis for purchase decisions

Collate and analyse system data in Excel to support the Trading Director with his monthly forecasts by product line

Bi-monthly forecasting to ensure forecasts represent actual requirements

Replenish stock forecasting

Monitoring supplier price on top 200 sellers

Calculating margins

Working with brand owners to establish delivery forecasts

Reviewing retail prices
