About the Role:

Elevation Recruitment Group is excited to partner with a leading manufacturing business based in Chesterfield in their search for a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the purchasing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement of materials, components, and supplies necessary for manufacturing processes.
  • Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Order Processing: Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.


  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
