About the Opportunity:
Are you a Retail Buyer who loves Pets and has a knack for picking products that customers love?
A Garden Centre Group is on the lookout for a passionate Retail Buyer to curate and elevate their pet product offerings, contributing to the growth and success of the brand.
The Buyer role
- Product Curation:
- Source and curate an eclectic range of pet products, staying at the forefront of industry trends.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and negotiating favourable terms.
- Stay tuned to market conditions, competitor moves, and customer preferences for informed decision-making.
- Category Management:
- Implement strategic category management approaches for the Pet section.
- Fine-tune product assortment, pricing, and promotions to optimize sales and profitability.
- Utilize sales data and customer insights for ongoing refinement.
- Supplier Collaboration:
- Strengthen ties with existing suppliers and actively seek out new collaborations.
- Collaborate with suppliers on exclusive products and promotions.
- Skilfully negotiate terms, manage contracts, and oversee timely deliveries.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with the marketing team to devise targeted campaigns and promotions.
- Work collaboratively with the retail team to ensure optimal product placement and visual appeal.
