Description

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for, however not limited to; the day to day management of the purchase ledgers across the business, process all invoices and payments, generating a weekly payment run to be approved by the Head of Finance, reconciling non-stock statements, processing weekly employee expenses - must be in line with the company expense policy, maintaining up to date accounts, processing electronic payments through online banking system, filing of all paperwork on a weekly basis, ensuring all invoices have an authorised purchase order and resolve any differences prior to making payment, resolve queries and invoice disputes, raising issues to the Finance Manager when required, analyse and post monthly credit card statements, ensuring all receipts & invoices are matched and VAT is claimed as appropriate and in line with VAT regulations, ensuring all supplier payment terms are met and any other adhoc duties as and when required.

Profile

The successful candidate will;

  • Have experience working within Accounts Payable
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
  • Be able to communicate and correspond at all levels of a business both internally and externally
  • Be confident at meeting deadlines and using your own initiative
  • Be a great team player whilst being able to work independently

Job Offer

Salary is up to £27,000 depending on your level of experience.

25 days annual leave (Rising by 1 each year of service to a max of 5) + Bank holidays

40 hours per week (flexible start & finish times)

Hybrid working with 3 days per week working in the office & 2 days from home
