£23,000 basic salary + £8k achievable bonus, as well as an end of year bonus PLUS additional Saturday rota pay! Very real potential earnings of up to £35,000 !!!

As a Trade Counter Advisor in this very niche industry, your aim is to fact find and advise customers on your expert product knowledge. This position is by no means a heavy sales role! The customers who enter this store only do so knowing they want to buy/hire the company products. All you need to do is ensure that they have everything that they need to go with their purchase, therefore knowing the products well enough to upsell. This will require the ability to learn quickly and be a confident and approachable person.

You will spend most of your time on the shop floor - there is manual handling and moving and lifting of products in the store, so you will need to be fit and healthy.

My client is looking for a confident individual with a positive attitude, who has excellent interpersonal skills. The team in store is small, so finding the right person who can fit in well with their relaxed and friendly team is important.

FULL TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED IN TERMS OF PRODUCTS AND WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK ETC.

Your hours of work will be Monday-Friday 8.30am–5.30pm

There is a (peak months) Saturday morning shift, it will be on a 2 week rota basis and the hours are 9am–12.30pm and only during peak season (Mar-Oct) *THIS WILL BE PAID IN ADDITION TO YOUR BASIC SALARY*

A full, clean and current UK driving licence is essential as there is a company van.

Your role: 

  • Promote company products in a trade counter environment
  • Serve customers politely and efficiently either at the counter, off site or on the telephone
  • Provide professional and timely advice
  • Advise and take orders and update the diary accordingly
  • Liaise with internal teams as required
  • Ensure all stock orders received are shelved at the earliest opportunity and are presented safely, tidily and in an attractive manner

Your experience: 

  • Proven track record of customer service and sales in a similar environment is ideal
  • Motivation to succeed with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Full, clean, current driving licence is essential

You will receive:

  • £23,000 basic salary per annum
  • Branch Bonus Scheme up to £8,000 – uncapped paid monthly and end of year
  • Additional Saturday rota pay (1 in 2 weekends, for 3.5 hours a day 9-12:30)
