This established yet ever growing multichannel womenswear retailer is looking for an assistant retail Merchandiser/Store Allocator to join the team. This successful ladieswear brand is a combination of standalone and concessions, and they are looking to strengthen their Merchandise team following an exciting period growth and change.
Assistant Retail Merchandiser – The Role
- Grading stores and subsequently creating range plans for each level of store.
- Working with the Merchandising Manager to closer access allocation on store by store basis, taking into account location/customer profile.
- Making sure products appear in the right store at the right time in the right quantities.
- Forecasting trends and planning stock levels.
- Monitoring stock performances, setting prices, budgeting and costing.
- Making commercial decisions using the available company reports (bestseller/slow sellers etc) and potentially recognising need for new, additional reports if required.
- Overseeing delivery and distribution of stock
- Space planning in the stores, looking at linear footage.
- Liaising with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
- Producing layout plans for stores and gather information on customer’s reactions to products
Assistant Retail Merchandiser – The Candidate
- Ideal candidate will be from a Retail Merchandiser background, from a brand or a retailer.
- Must have strong analytical skills. Must be able to work with numbers effortlessly.
- Must be commercial and able to plan and organise well.
- Must be IT literate and with sold understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Multitasking in a fast paced working environment
