Role and responsibilities

We are looking for a creative Visual Merchandiser for who can maintain all VM standards by continually reviewing product placement and merchandising store layouts. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hands-on retail Visual Merchandiser with previous exposure to working in a customer focused retail environment. You will display flexibility to work across different stores and adapt to processes across different environments.

Futon Company is a well-known high street brand that specialises in innovative space saving furniture, inspiring textiles, and appealing accessories. Almost everything we sell is designed in house or by designers we know, and all our futon mattresses are made by hand in our London workshop. As experts in small space living, we have 21 stores across the UK, as well as a robust online business.

What will you be doing?

• Optimising product placement in store
• Ensuring effective internal and external window POS
• Supporting the Trading Manager and buying team on photo-shoots
• Carrying out store standard checklists and providing constructive feedback/changes to management
• Working closely with the Visual Merchandise Manager to achieve excellent VM standards in-store
• Offering hands on support along with the Visual Merchandise Manager when opening new stores

What’s Required

You'll install high quality merchandising and presentation standards, producing an attractive and engaging shopping experience for customers.

• You will be able to communicate effectively with team members at all levels including management
• You will have a good level of verbal and written communication
• You will be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
