£55,000 - £65,000/annum pension, holiday and benefits
The Procurement Manager is a leadership role leading a team of four procurement professionals, while striving to achieve effective supplier performance and act as a key stakeholder to hit customer OTD targets.

As a procurement leader, you will work cross-functionally to configure optimal end-to-end value streams for the organisation's materials. You will combine in-depth knowledge of commercial principles to achieve supplier improvements inclusive of price, quality and service level delivery.

From the outset, you will have a high level of responsibility and be uniquely placed to shape, define and drive commodity groups for the hitting customer OTD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

> Lead a team of Procurement Professionals in setting up the optimal supply chain(s) for major commodity groups that drive quality improvements and service levels
> Coach and support the team
> Undertake cost analysis and negotiation and ensure resilience, lead times and sustainability
> Engage with cross functional teams to plan project schedules and the material schedules to hit key stages of the production process
> Work with Supplier Quality and Development teams on commodity groups
> Work on key business-wide strategy projects

EXPERIENCE:

> An effective and authentic leader, who actively cares and supports team members whilst driving high standards
> Manages the delivery of complex procurement and supply chain solutions in a project environment
> Experience in supply chain strategy, purchasing, supply chain or manufacturing operations
> Understanding and ability to apply lean methodology in Supply Chain set up
> Be a results-driven manager and leader
> Disciplined in strategic planning and procurement
> Proven leadership with internal partners and suppliers
> Proven capability to maximize the value of partners both internal and external to your operation
> Proven implementation and delivery of purchasing strategies
> A strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional alignment
> Experience of working in a global, multi-cultural environment
> Lean / Process Improvement experience

SALARY:

* £55,000 - £65,000 Pension, Holiday, Bonus
West Yorkshire- - Great location for York, Leeds, Bradford, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Harrogate, Halifax, Huddersfield.
South Yorkshire - North Sheffield, Barnsley, Goole, Doncaster
Site based role
