SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Permanent Procurement Manager based in the outskirts of Nottingham City Centre.

Ideally you will have experience within the IT/Software/Technology industry! This is however not essential.

As part of our clients expansion they are looking for a dynamic, ambitious person to take on the challenge of working in the Commercial department focusing on procurement and supply chain.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Purchasing Manager will guide and support the individuals within the Purchasing Team to ensure that KPI's are met and results are delivered against a well-considered and effective procurement strategy

What you'll do:

- Lead and coach the Purchasing team, supporting them with clear goals and KPIs, regularly review progress and assist them in learning and adjusting accordingly
- Ensure adequate cover and succession planning to mitigate any potential exposures within the team
- Assist and support team members with achieving professional goals
- Drive and support the wider business with supply chain initiatives
- Demonstrate thought leadership and creative idea generation and foster this behaviour throughout the purchasing team in order to maximise profitability and minimise any supply or stocking risks to the business.
- Develop strong relationships and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the business gains competitive advantage in the channel and can effectively foresee and respond to changes in a timely manner
- Manage escalations from the wider business effectively and professionally
- Provide business performance forecasting based on product invoicing
- Identify, design and implement new workflows and system improvements to maximise the output from the Purchasing team
- Monitor performance of purchasing activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management, with recommended improvement measures where required

Who you are:

Commercial acumen providing the ability to make and justify decisions
- Strong, proactive communication skills, able to gain commitment and buy-in to a common vision and clearly stated goals
- Ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge with regards to products and processes
- Knowledge and interest in IT hardware and software will be beneficial
- Desire to provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
- Possesses the energy, passion, resilience and commitment required to realise goals
- Ability to 'think outside the box' to offer achievable solutions under pressure
- Always demonstrate a professional manner when dealing with internal customers and our external supply chain partners
- Flexible, positive, team-centric attitude, and able to adapt to the constantly evolving landscape
- Possess a "can do" attitude

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 5.30 pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
