Fantastic opportunity for a Branch Manager to join a dynamic company based in Bristol.

Main Duties will include:

  • Ensure branch is opened and closed on time and staffed to a satisfactory level, managing the rota to ensure that relief has been requested if required. Record absence in the correct manner.
  • The Branch Manager will ensure a  plan is created and implemented to improve store and increase sales on the results of monthly KPI
  • Ensure KPI results are charted on the Balanced Scorecard
  •  The Branch Manager will lead the direction and motivation of staff being aware of issues and proposing solutions to improve
  • Ensure business development phone calls are conducted and logged using CRM
  • Ensure new customers (prospects) are acquired and taken through prospect process using CRM
  •  The Branch Manager will respond promptly to any out of hours call outs, managing holiday & store closures appropriately
  • Develop strong working procedures within store to ensure branch runs efficiently – eg. filing to be completed at the end of the day
  • Lead first line response (eg. challenge and report if necessary) to disciplinary or performance issues and monitor and engage to tackle issues at early stages
  • Lead development of staff skills including product and sales training. Identify areas for improvement and lead their personal development using all resources available
  •  The Branch Manager will ensure all customers are greeted on arrival and approached at an appropriate moment to identify their needs and solutions are suggested enthusiastically
  • Ensure staff use effective questioning to open business development opportunities with trade customers
  • Ensure staff deliver  the company's vision for the store and customer experience as shared by manager
  • As the Branch Manager you will make sure all staff actively participate in company promotions
  • Lead preparation and execution of yearly stock take
  • Ensure PPI is conducted and discrepancies are thoroughly investigated
  • The Branch Manager will attend and actively contribute to managers’ meetings throughout the year
  • Ensure both current and redundant paperwork is filed and stored safely and logically so that documents can be readily retrieved (complying with PCI DSS obligations)
  •  It is the responsibility of the Branch Manager to Carry out yearly staff reviews
  • Implement Company Health and Safety policy and ensure continued compliance
  • Ensure all safe working practices are followed and all checks are completed thoroughly and promptly
  • Manage the swift and well merchandised roll out of new product into store
  • Be able to lead product demonstrations or training when required
  •  The Branch Manager will undertake weekly buildings inspections & report defects promptly
  • Manage contractors when on site, ensuring compliance with any health and safety procedures

Qualifications and/or Experience:

At least 1 year’s management experience within a branch environment

The successful candidate will be able to:

Demonstrate ability to remain calm and focused when under pressure

Work the hours required to achieve results and tasks attributed to a successful and effective store

Maintain and develop productive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers

Develop good relationships and knowledge of trade / repeat customers

Champion the Company values of helpful, knowledgeable and interested

Share the company's  vision for creating a store and customer experience which reflects my clients ethos

Identify areas for self-development and discuss with the Head of Branch Sales

Able to identify any displays that are under-performing and put in place plan to address

High level of communication to both staff and management to ensure information is available to all appropriate parties

Look to constantly increase the overall sales of the branch

Demonstrate commercial awareness; in particular, managing the improvement of margin and understanding of product sales mix and tackling underperforming areas of sales

Consistently manage the sales performance of colleagues being able to assess staff’s performance.

My client is offering a basic salary of £30,000 with  an achievable OTE of £40,000 excellent benefits package which includes  life assurance up to 4 x salary, excellent staff discount .

Hours 7.30am/5.00pm Monday-Friday, 8.30am/5.00pm Saturday10.00am/4.00pm Sunday. (working 5 out of 7 days)
