Job Title: Account Manager – retail cleaning

Salary: Competitive + company car, laptop, and smartphone

Location: To cover North West, West Midlands, South West & Wales – ideal location Stoke-on- Trent/Birmingham

Our client is a leading multi service provider in the UK Facilities / Cleaning Sector who are achieving outstanding growth.

As a result they are now looking to recruit a new position of Account Manager in retail cleaning. The role will cover several retail sites in Chester, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Worcester, Bristol, and Wales.

Ideal candidates will live in and around either Stoke-on-Trent or Birmingham

Key responsibilities will include: -

  • Responsible for the effective management of a team of Area Managers & Area Supervisors
  • Create and develop effective long-term relationships with clients, through regular contact and ensure positive feedback regarding Customer Service
  • To lead, motivate and develop people using the available skills and resources, identifying developmental needs, setting objectives, and evaluating performance for all the team
  • Ensure recruitment of team members in accordance with our clients Company’s recruitment procedure and terms and conditions of employment
  • To ensure all HR policies, procedures and guidance are followed in respect of all employees
  • To review cleaning standards, people structures & levels, productivity, and compliance documentation
  • To facilitate the required equipment, consumables, and chemicals orders to sustain the operation within budget
  • Regularly audit and review the client contract with a view to increasing productivity and profitability whilst ensuring contract specific KPI’s are consistently exceeded
  • To ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to and all appropriate documentation is prepared and maintained i.e., risk assessments, method statements etc.
  • Accountability for achieving budgeted performance on materials, equipment, and labour
  • A 'lowest cost to operate’ approach to exceed financial targets where possible
  • Lead the team with inspiration, enthusiasm and by example

Candidate’s background & experience: -

  • Proven experience in managing large teams in the retail cleaning sector
  • Is 'customer focussed’ and must be IT Literate and a confident user of Excel, Word, and Email.
  • A strong communicator and who can build strong relationships with client and their own staff and who has a strong work ethic.
  • A multi-site cleaning management background, ideally within a Retail fast paced food environment
  • Able to successfully manage several priorities
  • Positive, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
  • Results driven & gets things done
