An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Ecommerce & Merchandise Assistant, to join a national retailer.
This person will exceed the sales target through on site ecommerce and trading, working with Buying & Merchandising and Marketing to create engaging content, brand launches, and product launches for omni-channel Commerce. Attracting and retaining online traffic through engaging social media, email marketing, marketplace and online experiences.
Updating the website, marketplaces and all digital marketing channels so that product, brands and content is engaging, desirable and discoverable.
Updating multi- channels with regular engaging content
Co-ordinating brand and product launches per category in line with Marketing and Trading priorities
Using web analytics to help plan site change and multi-channel updates
Researching new ecommerce technologies using social media and understanding the competition and market trends
Trading – Sales optimisation
Report and monitor sales, key metrics and promotions in weekly trade reviews
Manage daily and weekly site change, product inventory, photography, navigation, seo and site merchandising
Work with buyers and merchandisers to co-ordinator brand and product launches
Coordination of social, newsletter email and facilitating site changes
Manage category & product updates online, writing copy and producing content for all channels
Coordinate the delivery of all category elements (landing pages, category banners, brand exposure via home pages, social and email) for new season and new product launches as well as launching new marketing campaigns
Coordinate and manage all product listings and launches on all social channels, websites and marketplaces
Visual Merchandising & Digital Marketing -
Product, image and brand selection for homepages, social and email
Merchandising the website so products are desirable and discoverable
Site Change/Publishing – weekly reporting at brand, category and product level
Updating social media channels with regular engaging content
Community management on review site and Social channels
Product planning & launch programme by category area.
Photography planning for social, newsletter, loading and site change
Reports into the Junior Trader
Strong communicator, who is able to build relationships and work collaboratively with our internal & external partners,
High level of competency with Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management with the ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
Experience in data analysis
Strong commercial understanding
Must have detailed working knowledge of social media and Digital Marketing channels
