My client a market leading, Nottingham based, organisation are seeking to hire a Supply Chain Order Processor. Permanent role, salary in the region of £25K to £32K with generous benefits

The primary focus of the supply chain team is the management and ordering of all supplies of finished goods from a global supply base. Responsible for ensuring purchasing activity meets or exceeds customer orders, demand plans, quality and lead times you will maintain stock levels against product availability

Working in a highly cross functional manner with colleagues across the end to end supply chain, broader business and with UK and Globally based suppliers you will resolve supplier issues and identify and implement supply chain improvements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing from key manufacturing partners and the management of the order flow into the business
  • Ensure purchases are placed in line with: Lead times, Demand Plans and Customer orders
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners and Supply Planners to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Partner with key suppliers: Build develop and maintain delivery and quality metrics and escalation plans
  • Reduce or eliminate stock outs whilst minimising inventory levels
  • Identify optimal Minimum Order Quantities, Minimum Order Values and Economic Order Quantities
  • Meet or exceed KPIs including: Order Placement, Fulfilment, Service levels & Stock levels

About you:

A demonstrable history of supply chain, purchasing or buying experience gained in a fast moving, complex manufacturing organisation

Excellent awareness of: Demand Planning, Purchasing, Materials Management, Stock, Ordering, Lead times, Max & Min order quantities etc

Able to work closely with demand planners and external suppliers located on a global basis

Strong stock and inventory management skills, able to maximise availability whilst minimising stock levels

Highly analytical and confident working with complex data to eliminate supply problems and develop win-win scenarios with key suppliers

Suitable applicants will ideally be educated to degree level

Supply chain management or purchasing qualifications such as: APICs or CIPs is advantageous

Advance or Intermediate Excel user

You must be able to work and remain in the UK on an indefinite basis
