Logistics Coordinator

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator for this dynamic food business.

THE ROLE

• To organise collections/deliveries/transfers. Communicating with transport/forwarding/storage companies, suppliers & customers to get jobs arranged.
• Working with existing/new "logistics" companies to try to obtain the best transport/shipping rates and service levels possible.
• To ensure that documentation relevant to transport movements is correct and stored/sent.
• ensure that supplier purchase invoices, transport/customs/other invoices are received, recorded and processed.
• Working with the Quality Department to ensure that relevant quality documentation required for transport jobs is available and in order.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• You will need to have a strong background in logistics/supply chain, ideally gained within a Food Business. In addition:-
• A Supply Chain/Logistics related qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to liaise effectively within the company and externally with all 3rd party service providers, and have strong customer service focus
• Strong IT skills.
